Relax!!

August 15th is considered “Relaxation Day”, now that is a day I can get behind! It is so important that we take time out of our busy schedules to stop the busy. I firmly believe that I was not put on this earth just to pay bills! And neither were you! Taking time to stop and recharge is necessary for our health and well being both physically and most definitely mentally. Slowing down and managing stress will help improve everything from your ability to properly digest food which will help to avoid nutritional deficiencies, relaxing will help your circulatory system keeping your heart healthy and functioning properly. Your nervous system and endocrine system will also get a chance to catch up and restore itself. Basically slowing down, relaxing and taking time for yourself will impact all areas of your body, mind and life. I strongly urge you NOT do that one task that can probably wait, instead, grab a book, head outdoors for a walk, or meet a friend for coffee! Just relax! It’s good for your health!
