A Women's Heart Attack Symptoms Can Be Different Than A Man's.
The early signs of a heart attack is not the same for women as it is for men. Women can experience a tightening anywhere in the chest, not just the left side like some men experience. Pain can also be experienced in the back, neck and jaw by women in addition to extreme fatigue. Throat discomfort is 12x more likely to be reported by women than men and vomitting is almost 4x more likely to be reported by women. Symptoms of angina or heart attack are not present until there is a 70% blockage of the coronaries and it only takes 4 minutes for the heart and brain tissue to start to die. Keeping our heart and arteries healthy through diet, exercise and stress management is key in reducing the risk of a heart attack. A diet high in dark leafy greens, garlic, onions, green tea and fibre. With a diet low in sugar, saturated fats, alcohol and pro-inflammatory foods is a good start to having a health heart.
